Mini Wallet Project

 The other day, my son came home and casually mentioned that he had a new project to finish before next week. I assumed it was some high-tech gadget or something boys would typically enjoy, but it turned out to be a sewing project. He needed to sew a mini wallet using denim fabric. An idea popped into my head, and without hesitation, I grabbed my measuring tape and drew up a paper pattern for the mini wallet.

I pulled out my Brother sewing machine, cut the fabric according to the pattern, and got to work. Sewing with denim was surprisingly easy—it’s such a sturdy fabric that it doesn’t need any extra stabilizer or thick batting for lining. My son submitted the finished project ahead of the deadline and is still using that mini wallet for his RBT project to this day.
