How to Fill-in Fast Cheque Deposit Form

by - July 29, 2010

Hi! Do you know how to fill in fast cheque deposit form at CIMB? I wanna share the knowledge with readers out there. First and foremost, this is applicable only for remittance at CIMB bank in Malaysia. I'm not sure about other countries or the procedure at other banks.

The most important part is you have to ensure what kind of deposit you want to do. Is it payment for your credit card or for other purpose? Because CIMB has different envelope for each. The cheque deposit form and envelope can be obtained (laying available) at the form displaying counter.

So, right now you have 3 important things: cheque deposit form, your cheque and FCDM (Fast Cheque Deposit Machine). On the form (attached to the envelope), kindly do the necessary:

As example...
[1] Tick CIMB bank's branch cheque
[2] Write Bank Name: CIMB
[3] Write Cheque Number: Usually it starts with 09XXXX at the bottom of the cheque
[4] Place: where the cheque issued? KL
[5] Write amount: RM X,XXX Cent XX
[6] Write Net Total: RM X,XXX Cent XX
[7] Telephone number (contactable - yours or payee's)
[8] Name of payee
[9] Account number

While at the back of the cheque, fill in payee account number, name and reachable contact number. Later, put your cheque into the envelope, tear the yellow form (written "customer's copy") and deposit it into FCDM. You will then receive automated receipt from the machine. Keep the yellow copy and receipt together as proof of remittance.
