Reply from Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)

by - February 12, 2010

I looked at the reply from MMC. It’s not satisfying to know that the letter didn't give any attention to my feedback at all. There is no word of apology although I may have sounded quite sentimental in the complaint letter. I inserted the snapshot here:

Dear Ms.

IN THE MATTER OF REGULATION 28 OF THE MEDICAL REGULATION 1974 PURSUANT TO SECTION 29, MEDICAL ACT 1971 ON A COMPLAINT / AN INFORMATION AGAINST:

A) DR. MYINT MYINT HTWE, PASSPORT NO. 413964, (APC NO. 21101/2009, NO. 29959 DATED 27/10/2005)

B) DR. KO KO GYI @ ABDUL RAHMAN ZAFRUDIN, NRIC 500405-71-5487, (APC NO. 6445/2009, FULL REGISTRATION NO. 28817 DATED 2/5/1995)

The above matter refers.

2.     Please be informed that the Preliminary Investigation Committee IV has discussed your complaint against Dr. Myint Myint Htwe and Dr. Ko Ko Gyi @ Abdul Rahman Zafrudin on the 8th October 2009.

3.      After deliberation, the Committee decided to summarily dismiss the complaint under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Medical Regulations 1974, Medical Act 1971, which states:

28(1) The Committee to which such complaint or information or information has been forwarded, may summarily dismiss any complaint or information if it is satisfied –

        (b) that even if the facts were true, the facts do not constitute a disciplinary matter.

4.      The Malaysian Medical Council concurred with the PIC IV’s recommendation at its 274th meeting dated 19th November 2009.

It's true what people say about government related bodies, they are not established to be customer-oriented.
