I simply want to look for an iPhone. The most popular iPhone in the market is generally owned by Apple Inc. Since I am living in Malaysia, I am supposed to Google-up the iPhone price which is marketed here [1].

I can say it’s very expensive, those amount can be used for other means such as renewing your car insurance or invest in your medical card. So, I look-up in Apple Inc. (U.S.) website and found out the price has been slashed again and shipping is within 24 hours (Free for U.S. residents) [2].

It requires new two-year AT&T wireless service contract, sold separately to qualified customers; credit check required; must be 18 or older. Of course there are terms and condition ~ Check it out to know further information!

I have called up Maxis Customer Service today and asked about the Rate Plan for mobile postpaid users. I cite iValue Plans as sample here [5]. If I choose iValue Plan 1, and opt for 0% Interest Easy Payment of 12 months & choose 8 GB iPhone 3 GS, I’ll have to pay MYR 1,590 (for iPhone) + MYR 200 (for line) = MYR 1,790 as upfront payment. While monthly I have to pay MYR 100 (fixed monthly fee) + line usage. Although the price differs about MYR 750 from standard price in Malaysia market, the price is still 4 times higher than the price offered in U.S.

That’s why my lecturers ordered few from their friends who are living in U.K. & U.S. to bring back the Apple iPhone because they surely can save more money by doing so.
