I only put on the cover for my sofa few days ago. I remembered asking the Ikea staff about white cover for Ekstorp sofa but was told there is no stock left and I have to wait for 1 month for new stock to arrive. The best about Ikea stuffs is most of the items do-it-yourself-at-home.

So, no issue to do it manually, no sound, 5 minutes and then finish! I might need to take a photo while the cover is still white in color :)
