Cafe al-Ghufran

The class ended not later than 5 today. So, I went to ‘Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan’ with my friend at Damansara. We had no idea where to find the eating place since we have been to most of the restaurants in town. Truthfully, we are always wishing for new restaurants to be opened.

We stopped for Asar prayer at Masjid* al-Ghufran in Damansara. We wanted to go to Sambal Hijau Restaurant but then changed minds to pray first. So, after prayer, we drove thru the lane beside the Masjid and then found out a new restaurant has opened named as Café al-Ghufran.

We were informed by the waiter that the café is organized by the Masjid itself. The café equipped with elevator to get to the Masjid. They also provide other facilities and one of it is ‘Kamar Musafir’ or Sleeping Room for anyone who want to take a nap after a long journey.

We decided to dine there regardless of the food price. The scenery is nice; we have to climb stairs to reach there. The whole restaurant is made of fine wood and the interior design is superb. We chose a table at the open deck to enjoy the fresh air. The light is dim and suitable for those who wish to enjoy candle light dinner with beloved ones at night. The service also fast and the waiters are friendly. The food price is average. ‘Ikan Masin Fried Rice’ cost only RM 4.50 added with prawn, keropok, squid and green vege. But what we love the most is the food taste which is superb!

(*Masjid is formerly written as Mosque in English but since there is few argument on the true meaning, thus it is best to define it as Masjid)
